1. What cookies are and how we use them

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser and reads again on later visits. Websites also use similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, for the same purposes. In this policy, "cookies" includes those technologies unless we say otherwise.

We use cookies for three purposes:

• Strictly necessary cookies, which the Sites need in order to work, for example to keep you signed in and to take payments. We do not ask for your consent to these.
• Analytics cookies, which help us understand how the Sites are used. These are set only if you agree.
• Advertising cookies, which help us measure the adverts we run. These are set only if you agree.

We do not sell information collected through cookies.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are needed to provide a service you have asked for, such as signing in to your account or paying for a project. They are not used for analytics or advertising. You can block them in your browser settings, but signing in and paying will then stop working.

3. Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the Sites, which pages they view and where they leave. We use this information to improve the Sites. The website and the client portal are measured separately, so you may see cookies for both.

These cookies are set only if you agree to analytics. Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.

4. Advertising cookies

We advertise through Google Ads. These cookies connect an advert you clicked to an enquiry you send later, so that we can tell which adverts work. If you do not agree to them, we do not set advertising cookies, and Google receives only the limited information without cookies described in section 6. You may still see our adverts.

If you agree to advertising cookies, Google may also set or read its own cookies on Google's domains to measure our adverts. We do not use advertising cookies to show you personalised adverts. Google's use of this information is governed by Google's own policies.

5. Other information stored in your browser

The Sites also keep some information in your browser's local or session storage, only to do something you have asked for. This information stays in your browser, except that on the client portal your choice of light or dark display is also saved to your account. It is not used for analytics or advertising, so we do not ask for your consent to it.

6. How we ask for your consent

On your first visit, a notice asks whether you agree to analytics cookies and advertising cookies. Refusing takes one click, in the same place and at the same size as accepting. Closing the notice is not treated as agreement. We keep your answer for six months and then ask again.

Google's tags load on the Sites whether or not you agree, but until you agree they run with cookies switched off: they do not set or read analytics or advertising cookies. In that state Google may still receive limited information about the visit without cookies, such as the page viewed and whether consent was given, which Google uses to estimate overall figures. If you arrived by clicking one of our adverts, the advert's reference may also be carried in the page address while you browse the Sites. If you agree, the cookies described above are set from then on.

If we change the cookies we use in a way that affects your earlier answer, we ask you again.

7. Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, using the button below or the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page of the website. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew it.

The cookie settings could not be opened. You can clear this site's cookies in your browser's settings instead, and we will ask you again on your next visit.

You can also set your browser to refuse or delete cookies, or to warn you before one is stored. Each browser does this differently, so please check its help pages. If you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in and paying will not work.

8. One choice for both our sites

The website and the client portal share the roundborders.com domain. Your cookie choice is stored once and applies to both, so you are not asked twice. For the same reason, you may see cookies set by one of the Sites while you are on the other. They are the cookies described in this policy.

9. Third parties

The following companies set cookies through the Sites:

• Google, for analytics and advert measurement, and only if you agree.
• Stripe, our payment provider, to help prevent fraud on card payments.

We also use Cloudflare to protect our forms and sign-in from spam and abuse. Its check runs only when you use a form or sign in.

These companies are based outside the United Arab Emirates, and information collected through their cookies may be processed in other countries, including the United States. Our Privacy Policy explains how we share personal information with them and links to their own policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the cookies we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If a change affects the consent you gave, we ask you again.
