Every address changes, so every one gets its own redirect, and Search Console's Change of Address tells Google the whole site moved. Keep the old domain renewed: its redirects only work while you own it.

The content exports cleanly. Old .wordpress.com links are the catch: WordPress.com's paid Site Redirect upgrade sends each one to the same path on your own domain, so the new site keeps the same permalinks. It isn't offered on sites with plugins installed, which we check before we start.

Wix doesn't export the site or the blog, so posts are pulled from the live site, and every Wix-style address gets a redirect.

Squarespace's WordPress export carries pages and posts, but its images still load from Squarespace's servers and stop when the plan ends, so every one is downloaded. Products come from Squarespace's product CSV.

No. The new site is built on staging and the cutover overlaps both hosts, so there is no moment when neither is serving. For WooCommerce stores, browsing continues throughout; checkout pauses once for 15 to 30 minutes at a time you choose, so the final orders and stock levels move across exactly. No order is lost.
Will I lose SEO rankings when I move hosts?
Not from the move itself. URLs, metadata, canonicals, and structured data are preserved, and we watch Search Console for two weeks afterwards. Rankings only move when URLs change without redirects, which we do not allow.
How long does a WordPress migration take?
Host to host: typically 2 to 5 days with a one-evening cutover. Wix or Squarespace to WordPress: 1 to 3 weeks; Webflow: 1 to 4. Shopify to WooCommerce: 2 to 5 weeks, mostly rebuilding checkout and theme.
Can you migrate WooCommerce orders and customers?
Yes, including order history, customer accounts, subscriptions, and coupons. For Shopify we map products, variants, and collections one-to-one, with reviews carried over.
Which host should I move to?
We recommend honestly based on your traffic and budget. We are a Pressable VIP Pro Partner but migrate to any host; the recommendation never depends on where you end up.
Do I need to buy the new hosting first?
Not before the quote. Once you approve, we set up the new environment (or use one you already have) and build there while the old site keeps running.
Will my emails keep working after the migration?
Yes. Email usually lives on separate DNS records that we leave untouched. Where the old host also handled mail, we move it first and test before the cutover.
What if something is missing after the move?
The old host stays up for at least 24 hours and a full backup is kept for 30 days, so anything missed is restored, not rebuilt. It is rare: you click through staging before we cut over.
