No surprise at the last step. We can't set your prices, but we can stop them surprising anyone: shipping and tax estimated in the cart from the shopper's location, and a free-shipping line that says how far away it is.

Dates, not speeds. Each shipping option shows the day it arrives, worked out from your cut-off times and carriers, so Standard reads “Arrives Thursday”.

Guest first, account later. Checking out as a guest is the default. An account is offered after the order, from the details they already typed.

Only the fields your orders need. Baymard counts 14.88 form fields in the average US checkout and finds 7 to 8 are enough. We cut the rest, and address lookup fills in what it can.

Baymard Institute, cart and checkout abandonment research, US shoppers who abandoned an order, "just browsing" left out. Shoppers could give several reasons, so the numbers add up to more than 100%. Your own store's numbers come first: the free scope looks at where your shoppers actually drop off.
WooCommerce extension development that survives the next update.
Since late 2023, new stores keep orders in their own faster tables (High-Performance Order Storage) and run the cart and checkout as blocks. Code that hasn't caught up holds a store on the old way, or breaks it on update day.
