How long does a custom WordPress site take to build?
A marketing site is usually 4 to 6 weeks from spec to launch; a plugin or integration 1 to 3 weeks; a store or portal 6 to 10 weeks. You get a date with the quote.
Do I own the code?
Yes, entirely. The theme and plugins live in a Git repository in your name, every licence is registered to you, and the last launch check is the handover, which lists everything transferred. No retainer is needed to keep the site working.
Why not just use a page builder?
A page builder is quick to start with. Over time it costs speed (every layout is nested markup and inline CSS), ties you to its subscription and format, and fights with caching and stores. We build blocks for your content in the standard WordPress editor, so your team gets visual editing without those costs.
Can you work from my designer's files?
Yes. Figma, Sketch, XD, or a PDF: we build to the design faithfully and flag anything that would hurt speed or accessibility before we build it. If you do not have a designer, we design in the browser with you.
Will the site be fast and accessible?
It has to be, to launch. The launch checks gate every build on green Core Web Vitals and WCAG 2.2 AA, and the results come with the site.
Which hosting do you recommend for a custom WordPress site?
We build to run well anywhere and recommend based on your traffic and budget. We are a Pressable VIP Pro Partner but never require it; hosting stays in your name.
What happens after launch?
Thirty days of monitoring and fixes are included. After that you can maintain it yourself or with anyone (it is documented for that), or put it on a maintenance plan with us.
