Client-side media processing: WordPress 7.1 generates image sub-sizes in the browser and uploads each one separately through the standard upload handler. Only the original upload is cloaked now, so every generated thumbnail keeps deriving its name from the cloaked original instead of being given a random name of its own.
Companion files created by client-side processing are now renamed along with the attachment: the untouched original of a converted HEIC photo, and the video and poster generated from an animated GIF. Without this they kept their original filenames and stayed reachable at guessable URLs.
